Let me bring you back to yesterday morning by telling a little story: At approx 8am I heard this dreadful noise outside my window. "What the bleep is that?" I thought to myself. I trudged upstairs in my lack of jammies (sports bra and underoos) to investigate the source of the horribly noisy noise. Some dude is using a circular saw to slice off a chunk of sidewalk in front of the house. KEY-ripes! Who does such things at 8 in the morning?! Meanwhile, the activities had upset me quite a bit (causing what could have been another bleep or two), so I decided it was time to do something about it. I nearly went out on the porch in my lack of jammies but thought better of it and threw on a sweat shirt. Did some yelling, "HEY!" and some waving of my arms. Eventually I got the guy's attention, "you're waking up the whole neighborhood!" I yelled. "It's mornin time," he replied. "Some people are trying to sleep and can't afford air conditioning!" I shouted. "I'm almost done," he said. I scowled, turned around and tried to go back to bed. And now I'll forever be the crazy girl yelling in her underoos.

Skyler (one of my second graders) was running the aisles of HyVee this evening with another little boy. I recognized him when he came flying around the corner of the dairy aisle and I told him to slow down but first I almost hit him with my cart... whoops. "I know you," I said. "I know," he said and off he ran. And now I miss all of those kids... tear.
Meanwhile, it's super duper hot here on Howard Street. Moving my little fingers to type this wonderful post causes me to sweat like I've just run the Boston Marathon. If I could afford to turn the a/c on it'd be cranked to titty cold.
Thank you and goodnight.
