Eons, that is how long it has been since I last posted. A few faithful fans of Super Sara have emailed and IMed to ask for fresh postings. Thanks to Karen's inspirational blogging on her myspace page (http://www.myspace.com/babybitty) I feel as though I should blog once again! So away we go!

For those of you who don't know, a great many things have happened in my little life in the last year. I got a teaching job (and lost it due to displacement by tenured staff); Josh and I are happily living together in sin; and I guess those are the big things.

And now for a more detailed description on what went on: Somehow I snagged a first grade job at Rosemount Elementary School in ISD 196. I mentally freaked out for most of September through November, constantly thinking to myself "what the hell am I doing?!" and "did they really mean to hire me?!" Eventually, I got into the swing of things and hunkered down for the rest of the school year. Basically, I learned a whole heck of a lot; established myself as a teacher; met some really great people; fell in love with my class (well, maybe not completely with a couple of the little gems) and pretty much had a wonderfully terrifying time. Some tenured lady who doesn’t want to be in the building sadly has kicked me out of my spot. I'd like to give her a nice swift poke in the eye and a reminder that she should be thankful she is guaranteed a job while some of us has to kick, fight, and scream for a spot that could be yanked out from beneath us without warning. I don't hate her, no, where would you get an idea like that?


Moving on. After some convincing and coaxing, I got my townie to move to the big city. Josh moved up in January. We are living in a nice apartment in Inver Grove Heights (right behind Gerten's). We both cook. He vacuums, I clean the bathroom. On Thursday night we go to softball (GO CORNDOGS!). And on very exciting Friday nights, we make a trip to Target to go grocery shopping. WOO HOO, we're soooo exciting! Oh! For those of you who haven't been over lately, I hung a few pictures! It's like we live here or something!


As far as the rest of life goes, I plan on working a very part time job this summer (don't freak out but I think I'm just gonna go back to ON... it's easy, they know me, I know the job, I'm not starting something new, I'll start out making decent money, etc, I'M SORRY! We were so close to having all of us out! I KNOW! I can't help it! It's just too familiar and comfortable!). I plan on spending time at the pool, going to all the weddings and family gatherings and crap, and relaxing a smidge. Oh, and attempting to find another teaching job for the fall (thus far, New Prague is the only district nice enough to interview me).


In the meantime, while you wait for me to post again, feel free to read the archives of this fabulously poorly kept site. I'd make a recommendation about what to read but I haven't read anything for a long time so, just start sifting through the logged blog.
