The Great Big Grand Post Birthday Post
I had a lovely birthday. It began at midnight while I was at the library with Mandy. She called Sara D, who proceeded to call me a dosch for not telling her it was my birthday. I love those two.
After the late night at the lib I came home and went to sleep in my warm bed (Mom got me a heating banket for my birthday, yum, I love it). I got up a bit after nine on Friday morning, had a birthday bowl of Honey Bunches of Oats, and a birthday shower. I finished getting ready then scurried to the library to write a lesson plan for my math unit (the lesson planning for which is now complete, all I need to do it the artsy fartsy parts!!!).
I left the library for the second time in twenty-four hours and ventured to Adventure Bike and Ski to pick up Skis. They are freshly waxed, sharpened, tuned and giddy for December 5th. The guys there gave me a free birthday sticker and a free birthday Krispy Kreme doughnie. Bless them.
My next birthday girl stop was in La Crosse at Thairapy, had to get my crooked hair cut fixed. I walked in, Lisa (the Thairapist) said, "OHMYGOSH! Don't even sit down!" She fixed my hair then I was on my way to Michael's in lovely Onalaska. I picked up some felt, yarn and birthday girl glue.
Harley Davidson Shop of Winona was the next place I went. My co-workers got me a silly hat and a funny card. Kevin made me a cake and Maggie made me a notebook thingie. I had oodles of fun sitting in the office stuffing envelops with Paul, Princess, Scooter and Corey. Paul and Princess sang the KFC, Mc Donalds and Pizza Hut song for me. We joked around and made fun of eachother, the laughing didn't end. I love the people at the Harley Shop. OH! I even sold a $190 watch at the end of the night! WOO HOO, that helped my meager sales average!
When I got back to Howard Street, Al, Karen, Missy, Paul and the roommates were there waiting for me. I opened cards and presents. T and Amy gave me a great big ski boot bag of goodies... bulletin board boarders, stickers, window clings, a ski doll (YES!), a picture frame, mint skittles and Ice Age. Karen and Al got me a Dulce de Leche Cheesecake Factory cheesecake... YUM. Miss Missy gave me a an invigorate candle and some raspberry lotion. Paul gave me a kiss on the cheek, "I kissed Sara!" he said. I laughed.
Through out the day I had many a birthday well wishing from everyone's MSN screen names, AOL away messages and various birthday cards I receiced in the mail. The Grandmas sent money, Patti sent a reminder that she's taking me to France, friends sent funny cards to make me laugh and Mom sent a gushie card to make me feel loved.
And then it was bed time. I went to my birthday girl bed and slept.
Thank you everyone who participated in my birthday. I appreciate you and the gestures you made more than you might realize. Love you all, kisses and good night!
