While kindergarten is still pooping me out, I do love it. The kids are all very interesting and I'm having a lovely time getting to know them. My job is to conduct morning meetings, so far no one has cried, lost any limbs or poked an eye out. I think that's pretty good. I have had the unfortunate honor of seeing more than one lost tooth. I only half glance and say "good for you," as the kids proudly show me the gap in their mouths. When they try to show me the actual tooth they lost I simply tell them to put it in their backpack so they don't lose it. And speaking of backpacks... in kindergarten a person has to say "backpack," they can't say "bag" because the kindergarteners don't know what is being refered to. Goofy kids. Ok, that's all. The end.

Based on recent letters and voice mail messages I have been lead to believe that my pen pal will be returning from Iraq very soon. I find this to be very exciting since we've only exchanged letters and never met in person. It'll be nice to meet the guy I've been writing to for the last five months.

At approx 7pm I noticed I wore my undershirt inside out all day long. Kindergarten is even wearing my fashion awareness out. This concerns me quite a bit. I'd really appreciate it if everyone would be on the lookout for poor fashion choices... we'll just say we're on an orange level alert for my clothes. I'll let everyone know if there is an increase or decrease in alert levels.

Question to ponder after reading the post: What makes me think it's ok to yell at people using circular saws in my underware?
Ok, so I've been a lazy bum and I haven't posted in nearly a thousand years. I've had a bunch of crap to do which I'm going to summarize as: work, work, school junk, some socializing and a bit of just plain old laziness. And now on to current news:
Student teaching started last week, kids start school this coming Tuesday. I'm really looking forward to starting school with the kids and getting in to the swing of things, though I'm a little nervous that we'll be flying by the seats of our pants. I'm sure there will be lots of posts concerning student teaching... stay tuned.
My social calendar is going to pretty much suck until mid December. Although, I have the pleasure (note the sarcasm) of attending a bridal shower this evening. I'd like very much to see the bride and a couple of the other girls attending the shower... I'd like to tell the rest of the ladies to bite me and leave me alone. I can't wait!!!
I haven't done anything particularly dumb, clumsy or embarassing lately... now that I've mentioned that I'll probably do something completely stupid with in the next couple hours.... stay tuned for those up dates too.
I visited my summer school boys yesterday. It certainly wasn't a dull visit (there was a lot of screaming, crying, biting, and chasing, some people never change). I think seeing them makes me miss them even more.... perhaps there will be a long term sub position in their room this spring.... keep your fingers crossed for me.
Look! A sail boat!
