There is an evil green grasshopper on my deck door. Had I known there was going to be a battle for outdoor space two stories up I would have prepared by encasing my deck in a mosquito net. He's looking at me. And I think he's trying to devise a way to enter the apartment!

Karen has inspired another post... damn her. She has a great post about the 100 things she loves. In some ways 100 things seems like a lot but I imagine as I approach number 100 I will have to leave a thing or two out of my list… or even go back and replace a not so precious item. Without much further ado and in no particular order are my 100 Favorite Things.
1. Mom, Dad, Dan and Andrew
2. Pretty
3. Grandma Pat, Joan, Patti, UB, Grandma Pepper, Aunt Marrilyn, Aunt Ruth, Uncle Joe, RaryRynn, the Miesens, Meg and the rest of the Chicago crew.
4. The things Joan says, “Welcome to the family!” “Touch ‘em all, Kirby!” “Ya bunch of sluts.” This last one was said to Grandma Pat and me.
5. T-racy and Amy
6. The Queen and Gary and their house in the morning. Sawyer, Luke and Cricket too.
7. Sadie and her smile.

17. An old, used, loved box of crayons. 8, 16, 24, 48 or 96 boxes.

50. Dancing.
51. The MN Zoo. I like to go the Farm exhibit and see the baby cows. Oh, and the Meek Rats.
52. Late night skiing at Welch and Wild. The sights and sounds are magic to me. The swooshing crunch of the skiers and the creaking and chugging of the chairlift as it rocks up the hill. Dark sky and stars. Silence, singing songs, laughing and cleaning Tracy’s skis off.
